Language, writing and editorial support on a blue biotechnology report for the U.S state of Maine, including the preparation of a shorter Executive Version of the report.

April 2025 – May 2025
Support for the preparation and drafting of a report about the use of AI in aquaculture. The aim of the project is to identify key stakeholders, attitudes and challenges in the AI and aquaculture space to establish a support and advisory network.

Research and mapping of seaweed and shellfish farms in Alaska for the Alaska Mariculture Insights platform, a publicly accessible website that aims to benefit stakeholders across the Alaskan mariculture value chain. The platform presents the findings of a field study in Alaska and analyses data on production, technical challenges and opportunities for technical advancement.

Compilation of a market assessment report on a seafood distributor. The aim of the report is to help the client assess the main seafood products in key markets, the size of these markets and determine consumer willingness to pay for seafood, prior to making an investment decision.

Sept 2024 – Oct 2024
Language and editing support for a report by WWF on the future of seaweed farming in the UK. Work included editorial input, writing and rewriting to produce a final report covering the production history of seaweed farming, optimal locations for farms, seaweed farming challenges, market assessments and the future value of the UK seaweed sector.

Compilation of a list of potential sponsorship opportunities (company names) and media kit suggestions for an aquaculture news media website.

Sept 2023 – May 2024
Japanese language and research support on a blue carbon project for Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd, helping them to gain knowledge and expertise in the blue carbon field. Work included online workshop presentations, answering questions on Japan’s blue carbon market, research and interviews in both English and Japanese, and compiling the final written report.
