Hi bonnie , interesting photo ,red grouper ???? found a strawberry grouper listed on the internet . Have you noticed the image in the rock , above and behind the fish ? Looks like a black eye with red body and a gray tail ending with a pink fin . Perhaps the fish was showing you something it noticed about its home . Very interesting . Steady hand , 1/30 th. ! !
Hi Terry, yes he does seem to be showing me something. This fish appears to be quite common particularly in Japan’s Izu area, I seem this type a lot now and again on my dives. You have a good eye, I didn’t notice the image in the rock until you mentioned it!
